Prayer for the 2016 Presidential
Jesus, our Lord and Savior, we beseech you:
Please help our country elect a president after your own heart. Help all
citizens of the United States of America deepen our faith, hope and love in
you. Dear God, please help us turn that faith into action, and elect a
president that will have wisdom, courage and the fortitude to do your will.
Through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, please help change the hearts of
those who do not believe in, or understand the preservation of the sanctity

Have mercy on us all.
Jesus, our Good Shepherd, during these difficult times for our country,
please deliver us a leader that will lead our country with humility, wisdom
and faith in you. And please Jesus help us as a nation to elect such a
person, so that we as individuals, as well as a nation may find ourselves on
a pathway home to you.
We place our faith and trust in you.

support it to a certain extent with the hope that that candidate can
be convinced to embrace evermore fully the common good,
And I understand these sentiments very well. But one also has to be
very prudent, and know that by not voting at all you are
probably favoring one candidate or another…. The moral
weight to voting is indeed very heavy. In other words, every vote
