August 22
Immaculate Heart of Mary
There is no mention of the octave of the Assumption in the Mass of the Immaculate Heart.

[Latin Text]

Introit: Hebrews iv: 16

Let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. [Ps. xliv] My heart has uttered a good word: I speak my works to the King. Glory be.  Let us draw near.

Collect:

Almighty and eternal God, Who didst prepare in the Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary a worthy dwelling place for the Holy Ghost; mercifully grant that we who devoutly celebrate the feast of that Immaculate Heart may be able to live according to Thine Heart. Through our Lord.

In private Masses - in commemoration of Ss. Timothy, Hippolytus, and Symphorian
Collect:

O Lord, we beseech Thee, graciously lend us Thine assistance, and through the intercession of Thy blessed martyrs Timothy, Hippolytus, and Symphorian, extend over us the right hand of Thy mercy.  Through our Lord.

Epistle: Ecclesiastes: xxiv

A reading from the wisdom books:
As the vine I have brought forth a pleasant odor, and my flowers are the fruit of honor and riches. I am the mother of fair love, and of fear, and of holy hope. In me is all the grace of the way and of the truth, in me is all hope of life and virtue. Come over to me, all you who desire me, and be filled with my fruits. For my spirit is sweet above honey, and my inheritance above honey and the honeycomb. My memory is unto everlasting generations. They who eat me shall yet hunger; and they who drink me shall yet thirst. He who harkens to me shall not be confounded; and they who work by me shall not sin. They who explain me shall have life everlasting.

Gradual Ps. xii: 6

My heart shall rejoice in thy salvation: I will sing to the Lord who gives me good things; yea I will sing to the name of the Lord the most high. [Ps. xliv: 18] They shall remember Thy name throughout all generations. Therefore shall people praise thee forever: yea, forever and ever.
Alleluia, alleluia! [Lk. i: 46-47] My soul magnifies the Lord. And my spirit rejoices in God my Savior. Alleluia!

After Septuagesima: Tract:

Now, therefore, children, hear me: blessed are they who keep my ways. Hear instruction and be wise, and refuse it not. v. Blessed is the man who hears me, and who watches daily at my gates, and waits at the posts of my doors. v. He who shall find me shall find life, and shall have salvation from the Lord.

During Paschaltide:  Alleluia Verse:

Alleluia, alleluia! [Lk. i: 46-47] My soul magnifies the Lord. And my spirit rejoices in God my Savior. Alleluia!  v. All generations shall call me blessed, because God has regarded the lowliness of His humble handmaid. Alleluia!

GospelJohn xix: 25-27
+
The beginning of the Holy Gospel according to John.

At that time, there stood by the cross of Jesus, His mother, and His mother's sister, Mary of Cleophas, and Salome, and Mary Magdalen. When Jesus therefore had seen His mother, and the disciple standing, whom He loved, He said to His mother, "Woman, behold thy Son." After that He said to disciple, "Behold thy mother." And from that hour, the disciple took her to his own.

Credo.

Offertory: Lk. i: 46, 49:

My spirit rejoices in God my Savior; because He Who is mighty has done great things for me; and holy is His name.
