Collect:

Dómine Jesu Christe, pater misericordiárum, et Deus totíus consolatiónis: concéde propítius; ut, sicut lumbos præcíncti, puríssimam Genitrícem tuam Maríam sub Conslatiónis título gaudéntes venerámur in terris, ita perénni ejúsdem consórtio pérfrui mereámur in cælis:
Qui vivis.

Lord Jesus Christ, Father of mercies and God of all consolation: grant we beseech Thee; that we who venerate Thy most pure Mother Mary, here on earth under the title of "Consolation," may enjoy her eternal consort in heaven.

Epistle: Isaias xi: 1-5

A reading from Isaias the Prophet:
There shall come forth a rod our of the root of Jesse, and a flower shall rise up out of his root. And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him: the spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the spirit of counsel and of fortitude, the spirit of knowledge and of godliness, and He shall be filled with the spirit of the fear of the Lord. He shall not judge according to the sight of the eyes, nor reprove according to the hearing of the ears. But He shall judge the poor with justice, and shall reprove with equity for the meek of the earth. And He shall strike the earth with the rod of His mouth, and with the breath of His lips He shall slay the wicked. And justice shall be the girdle of His loins, and faith the girdle of His reins.

Gradual: Ps. xliv, 8-9

Unxit te Deus, Deus tuus, óleo lætítiæ præ consórtibus tuis. v. Myrrha, et gutta, et cásia a vestiméntis tuis.

God has anointed thee with the oil of gladness, above thy consorts. v. With myrrh and aloes and cassia thy robes are fragrant.

Allelúja, allelúja. Sonet vox tua in áuribus meis: vox enim tua dulcis, et fácies tua decóra. Allelúja.

Allelúja, allelúja. Let me see thee, let me hear thy voice, for thy voice is sweet and thou art lovely.

Gospel: Luke i: 39-47

Credo

+ The continuation of the holy Gospel according to Luke.
At that time, Mary, rising up, went into the hill country, with haste, into a city of Juda And she entered into the house of Zachary, and saluted Elizabeth. And it came to pass that when Elizabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the infant leaped in her womb. And Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost: and she cried out with a loud voice, and said, «Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb. And whence is this to me that the mother of my Lord should come to me? For behold, as soon as the voice of thy salvation sounded in my ears, the infant in my womb leaped for joy. And blessed art thou that hast believed, because these things shall be accomplished that were spoken to thee by the Lord.» And Mary said, «My soul doth magnify the Lord; and my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Savior.»

Offertory: Jeremias xviii:

Recordáre, Virgo Mater Dei, dum stéteris in conspectu Dómini, ut loquáris pro nobis bona, et ut avértat indignatiónem suam a nobis.

Remember, Virgin Mother, in the sight of God, speak on our behalf, that His indignation may be turned away from us.

Secret:

Sucipe, Dómine, munus, quod tibi offérimus, memóriam recoléntes puríssimæ Vírginis Maríæ, quæ consolátur nos in omni tribulatióne nostra: et præsta; ut mens nostra supérno lúmine Sancti Spíritus irradíata, terréna despíciat, et ad cæléstia semper aspíret. Per Dóminum ... in unitáte ejúsdem.

Receive, O Lord this gift that we offer in commemoration of the most pure Virgin Mary, who consoles us in all of our tribulations: and grant; that our minds being illuminated by the supernatural light of the Holy Ghost, we may despise the things of earth, and always aspire to those of heaven.

Præfátio de Beáta María Vírgine      "Et te in festivitate." Preface of the Blessed Virgin,

Communion Hymn: Jeremias ii:

Numquid obliviscétur virgo ornaménti sui, aut sponsa fáciæ pectorális suæ?

Does a virgin forget her jewelry, or a bride her sash?

Postcommunion:

Fons vitæ, Dómine Jesu, reple mentem nostram torrénte voluptátis tuæ: ut, beatíssimæ semper Vírginis Maríæ Consolatiónis Matris præsídio terréna calcántes, cæléstibus semper recreári valeámus: Qui vivis.

O font of life, Lord Jesus, fill our minds with rivers of delights in Thee: that under the protection of the blessed ever Virgin Mary, Mother of Consolation, we may merit to ever be refreshed with the joys of heaven.
