Humility of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Entrance Hymn: Sedulius et Ps. xliv: 2

Salve sancta Parens, eníxa puérpera Regem qui cælum terrámque regit in sæcula sæculórum. (T.P. Allelúia, allelúia) [Ps.] Eructávit cor meum verbum bonum dico ego ópera mea Regi. Glória Patri, et Fílio, et Spirítui Sancto: Sicut erat in princípio, et nunc, et semper, et in sæcula sæculórum. Amen. Salve....

Hail, holy Mother! giving birth to thy Child, thou didst bring forth the King, who ruleth the heavens and the earth for ever and ever. (P.T. Allelúia, allelúia) [Ps.] My heart hath uttered a good word. I speak my works to the King. Glory be to the Father.... As it was in the beginning.... Hail, holy Mother!...

Collect:

Deus, qui humília réspicis, et alta a longe cognóscis: da fámulis tuis humilitátem beátæ Maríæ semper Vírginis puro corde sectári; quæ virginitáte plácuit, humilitáte concépit Dóminum nostrum Jesum Christum Fílium tuum: Qui tecum vivit....

O God, who dost regard humility, and dost know it from on high: grant that Thy servants, in purity of heart, may ever strive after the humility of Blessed Mary ever Virgin; whose virginity pleased, and whose humility conceived Thy Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, Who lives and reigns with Thee....

Epistle: Eccli. xxiv: 11-13 et 15-20

In ómnibus réquiem quæsívi, et in hereditáte Dómini morábor. Tunc præcépit, et dixit mihi Creátor ómnium: et qui creávit me, requiévit in tabernáculo meo, et dixit mihi: In Jacob inhábita, et in Israël hereditáre, et in eléctis meis mitte radíces. Et sic in Sion firmáta sum, et in civitáte sanctificáta simíliter requiévi, et in Jerúsalem potéstas mea. Et radicávi in pópulo honorificáto, et in parte Dei mei heréditas illíus, et in plenitúdine sanctórum deténtio mea. Quasi cedrus exaltáta sum in Líbano, et quasi cypréssus in monte Sion: quasi palma exaltáta sum in Cades, et quasi plantátio rosæ in Jéricho. Quasi olíva speciósa in champis, et quasi plátanus exaltáta sum juxta aquam in platéis. Sicut cinnamómum et bálsamum aromatízans odórem dedi: quasi myrrha elécta dedi suavitátem odóris.

In all these I sought rest, and I shall abide in the inheritance of the Lord. The Creator of all things commanded, and said to me: and He that made me rested in my tabernacle, and He said to me, Let thy dwelling be in Jacob, and thine inheritance in Israël, and take root in mine elect. And so, I was established in Sion, and in the holy city likewise I rested, and my power was in Jerusalem. And I took root in an honorable people, and in the portion of my God His inheritance, and my abode is in the full assembly of the saints. And I was exalted like a cedar in Libanus, and as a cypress tree on mount Sion. I was exalted like a palm tree in Cades, and as a rose plant in Jericho: as a fair olive tree in the plains, and as a plane tree by the water in the streets, was I exalted. I gave a sweet smell like cinnamon and aromatical balm: I yielded a sweet odor like the best myrrh.

Gradual

Benedícta et venerábilis es, Virgo María quæ sine tactu pudóris invénta es mater Salvatóris. Virgo Dei Génitrix, quem totus non capit orbis in tua se clausit víscera factus homo.

Virgin Mary, blessed and venerable art thou: without blemish to thy maidenhood, thou didst become the mother of the Savior. O Virgin Mother of God, He whom the whole world cannot contain, being made man, shut Himself up within thy womb.

Allelúia, allelúia. Post partum Virgo invioláta permansísti Dei Génitrix, intercéde pro nobis, Allelúia. Allelúia, allelúia. Thou bore a child, O Virgin, and remained a virgin still. Mother of God intercede for us. Allelúia.

Septuagesima, Lent & Passiontide: Tract:

Gaude María Virgo, cunctas hæreses sola interemísti. Quæ Gabriélis Archángeli dictis credidísti. Dum Virgo Deum et hóminem genuísti et post partum Virgo invioláta permansísti. Dei Génitrix, intercéde pro nobis.

Rejoice, O Virgin Mary, for thou alone have destroyed all heresies. Thou believed the word of the Archangel Gabriel. A virgin still, thou brought forth the God-man; thou bore a child, O Virgin, and remained a virgin still. Mother of God, intercede for us.

During Easter & Pentecost, instead of Gradual & Tract: Allelúia

Allelúia, allelúia. Virgo Dei Génitrix, quem totus non capit orbis in tua se clausit víscera factus homo. Allelúia.
Post partum Virgo invioláta permansísti Dei Génitrix, intercéde pro nobis, Allelúia.

Allelúia, allelúia. O Virgin Mother of God, He whom the whole world cannot contain, being made man, shut Himself up within thy womb. Allelúia.
Thou bore a child, O Virgin, and remained a virgin still. Mother of God intercede for us. Allelúia.

Gospel: Luke i: 26-38

The continuation of the holy Gospel according to Luke:

At that time, the Angel Gabriel was sent from God into a city of Galilee, called Nazareth, unto a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary. And the Angel, having entered, said unto her, "Hail full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women." Who, having heard, was troubled at his saying, and thought within herself what manner of salutation this might be. And the Angel said to her, "Fear not Mary, for thou hast found grace with God. Behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and shalt bring forth a Son, and thou shalt call His name Jesus. He shall be great and shall be called the Son of the most High, and the Lord shall give Him the throne of David His father; and He shall reign in the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there shall be no end." And Mary said unto the Angel, "How shall this be done, because I know not man?" And the Angel answering, said to her, "The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the most High shall overshadow thee. And, therefore, the Holy that shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. And behold thy cousin Elizabeth; she also hath conceived a son in her old age, and this is the sixth month with her that is called barren; because nothing shall be impossible with God. And Mary said, "Behold the handmaid of the Lord. Be it done to me according to thy word."
