Bread, and raising it a little above the Altar continues: |

sanctis ac venerabiles manus suas, |

holy and venerable hands, |

et elevatis oculis in
caelum
ad te Deum Patrem suum omnipotentem,
tibi gratias agens benedixit,
fregit,
deditque discipulis suis, dicens: |
and having lifted up
his eyes to heaven
to thee God, his Almighty Father,
giving thanks to thee, blessed it,
broke it,
and gave it to his disciples, saying: |
| He bows slightly. |

Accipite
et manducate ex hoc omnes:
Hoc est enim Corpus meum,
quod pro vobis tradetur. |
TAKE YE, AND EAT YE
ALL OF THIS:
FOR THIS IS MY BODY,
WHICH IS GIVEN FOR YOU. |
Then, falling on
his knees, the Priest adores the Sacred Body of Christ, and rising,
elevates it on high that all present may likewise do so. When the
priest elevates the Host above his head to show it to the people, the
worshipper should lift up his head and raise his eyes thereto. With
St. Thomas the Apostle, he may well express love and devotion, saying:
"My Lord and my God".
Genuflecting once again, he rises and continues: |

| Simili modo, postquam
cenatum est, |
In like manner, after
they had supped, |
| He takes the
chalice and, raising it a little above the Altar, continues: |

accipiens et hunc
praeclarum calicem
in sanctas ac venerabiles manus suas,
item tibi gratias agens benedixit,
deditque discipulis suis, dicens: |
taking also this
goodly Chalice
into his holy and venerable hands
again giving thanks to thee, he blessed it,
and gave it to his disciples, saying: |

Hic est enim calix Sanguinis mei
novi et aeterni testamenti,
qui pro vobis et pro multis effundetur
in remissionem peccatorum.

OF THE NEW AND EVERLASTING TESTAMENT,
WHICH IS SHED FOR YOU AND FOR MANY
